CHEESE CAKE OREO's
Bon appétit on this Monday lunchtime,
Pea week is here! I know you think I'm a bit crazy with this, but I'm making a resolution not to buy anything with peas on it anymore, I promise. But until then, I'd like to ward off the curse with this polka dot week! Thanks again for all your comments and encouragement! Today I'm giving you my recipe for oreo cheese cake! enjoy!
For this little cheese cake oreo (20 cm diameter mould):
- 12 oreos
- 20 g butter
- 50 g sugar
- 250 g Philadelphia
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 egg whites
- 1 lemon zest
Start by buttering the baking tin and preheating the oven to 180°C. Crush the cookies with a pestle, and add the 20g melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the tin, forming the crust (if you don't mind my saying so...). Mix the fromage blanc, sugar and flour in a bowl. In another bowl, beat the eggs until stiff and fold in gently with a pastry blender. Remove the lemon zest and add to the mixture, and you're ready to line the tin. Bake for 25 minutes. Keep an eye on it, though, as the cheese cake shouldn't turn brown... I'd recommend buying mini Oreos to decorate your cake, but unfortunately I didn't have any to hand, and even in Paris, finding mini Oreos on a Sunday can be a bit of a war... See you tomorrow (I can't wait!)!
