To realize Dave you will need:
- 1.10m of fabric for a width of 1.40m
- Or 1m35 of fabric for a width of 1m 10
- 4 small 10mm buttons
- 1 spool of thread.
Because Dave's gathers are so voluminous, we recommend choosing a fairly fine, soft fabric. In a cotton poplin, striped or plain, Dave will make a lovely blouse version. Floral patterns, gingham or other checks will also suit him perfectly. A jersey or other fine knit can also be chosen.
Dave's long sleeves mean he can also be used as a sweatshirt, making him a warmer garment. We recommend cutting it one size larger than originally intended, and choosing a warmer material such as fleece, a thicker knit or denim.

Formats and printing
All patterns products are available in A4/US letter format.
Newer models are also available in A0 (we are gradually adding older models).
To print in A4/US letter, you need your own printer or a printer's specialist. To print in A0, you need a printer.
Assembly
For A4/US letter format. The printed area is smaller than the page. We advise you to print the first page, making sure that the test square is the right size.
Please note that your printer settings must be set to "no scaling" or "print 100%". After printing, you can trim the margins and tape the sheets together. See further instructions here.
