Advice pattern

To make Hedwige you will need :

  • 1m95 of fabric in 1.40m width.
  • 2m60 of fabric in 1m10 width.
  • 12cm of 3cm wide elastic.

This pattern includes seam values and they are 1cm. We advise you to choose a fairly thick material, and not too soft, so that the shape of the décolleté is well defined.

Velvet, corduroy, wool, suede, denim or gabardine are all perfect. If you fall in love with a fabric that's a little too soft, be sure to iron the top front, and lay straight iron-on thread along the rounded edges.

For even more rigidity, you can cut the front cleanliness 2 times, and insert the extra part between the cleanliness and the front during assembly. Remember to bring 12cm of 3cm wide elastic. Don't hesitate to choose a fancy elastic, with sequins or stripes for example.
